Way back in 2017, Sunday Dinner Club sous chef Becca Grothe shared her version of a Cubano sandwich with chefs Josh Kulp and Christine Cikowski, they all knew it was something truly special. Becca has, it seems, a particular talent for creating full flavored, full happiness sandwiches and we found an equally happy audience that was clamoring to eat ‘em. So we kept trying sandwich after sandwich. Creating. Testing. Tasting. Rinse, wash, repeat. Call it a slow burn.
After a couple of years of various pop ups (yum!), one maternity leave for Becca and her family (yay!), and a global pandemic (booooo), we have finally have found our brick and mortar location. Becca’s food is rooted in her Midwest, Western Illinois roots. Oh, and of course, her chef husband Cam has found a home here too for his Tuber’s Donuts too. It’s a delicious family affair! We are thrilled to open TriBecca’s Sandwich Shop and share Becca and Cam’s culinary magic with you.
